Border Gateway Protocol(BGP) is an internet routing protocol operating on top of TCP/IP. BGP can be used as an Interior Gateway Protocol(IGP) or as an Exterior Gateway Protocol(EGP). BGP typically operates between Autonomous Systems transmitting reachability information.
